From a grandmother's terrace to one of Athens' most loved tavernas.
"Authentic Greek food, made the way yiayia made it."
Ta Filarakia — "the little friends" — began as a Sunday gathering on our grandmother Eleni's terrace in the Athens neighborhood of Petralona. Friends came for the conversation; they returned for the food.
Today, three generations later, we still cook from her notebook. Olive oil from Kalamata, feta from a small Epirus dairy, octopus from the morning's catch in Piraeus. Nothing fancy — just real ingredients treated with respect.
Our team is small and our kitchen is open. Come in, sit down, raise a glass of ouzo. Καλή όρεξη.
